The Walking Dead has legions of fans. I for one used to like the show. However, last season's finale was utter bollocks. The show's producers claimed it would be a shocking finish to the season, and it wasn't in the least. You were left with a classic: "What the fuck?" moment.
This season has been just as terrible. The lame love fest that went on between Herschel and Daryl when the "flu" illness was cured, did it for me. I believe Daryl's dialogue was: "You're one tough son of a bitch," and it was just a shark jumping love fest that was a blue cheese of a stink fest.
If you watched last week's episode you would know the Governor is going to have a showdown with Rick and the gang again. This time he has tank.
Now since this show is terrible. Eventually, the show follows the comic book. They use that way too much as a reference point. It would be better if they didn't follow it.
I thought of a way to make this season way more awesome. If you're going to suspend your believe with zombies, why not with my plot twist.
The Governor confronts Rick and the gang with his arsenal and tank. Little does he know Rick has a secret weapon. None other than the loveable highly intelligent orca (killer whale) named Tilikum.
Little did the viewers know, but the river basin / pond has a lurking guest. Rick on a supply ventured to Orlando Florida and with help from some experienced staff loaded up old Tilikum to help out the gang.
Tilly and Rick again unknown to the viewers developed a trainer / trainee bond with some trials and tribulations. This isn't revealed until Tilly kills the Governor as Rick looks on.
The camp is over run, with hope all but lost, the Governor laughing maniacally while pointing his assault rifle at Rick. He asks Rick if he has any last words. Rick makes a gesture and whistle blow, you see the none rigid dorsal fin and out of nowhere Tilikum beaches himself briefly as his jaws clench the Govenor and he drags him back into the river basin.
The camera then pans to Rick where tears begin dripping down his face while Carl comes over to hug his father and the survivors gather around this spectacle.
We are greeted with a montage of the complex relationship between Tilly and Rick, as "Only Time" by Enya plays. The magical moments of Rick feeding Tilly fish. Tilly biting Rick's arm and eventually letting go. Rick in a wet suit in the water with Tilly and other lovable moments.
The camera then shows the Governor's mangled body floating. The prison is slowly being overrun, and the survivors have to scramble, Rick blows the whistle one more time and Tilly makes a huge jump in the water landing on the Governor's body. Next the survivors are seen fleeing, while Tilikum is seen making his way out of the river / pond and finding his way to the Gulf of Mexico where he will eventually meet up with his pod in Iceland.
That's how the finale should end. After all this season has been terrible, this can only make it better.
